    Whether Herndon vegetables are sold from the bin in a leading supermarket or a roadside stand in Toombs County, GA, the freshness and flavor are unmistakable. L. G. "Bo" Herndon Jr. has a reputation for outstanding quality since beginning in 1979 with his first crop of Crisp Sweet Vidalia Onions.

He added greens and 1990, and sweet corn in 1995. This reputation is more than knowing when to plant and when to pick. It's about adding just the right nutrients to enrich the soil. It's also about perfecting harvesting and storage techniques that keep produce fresh from the field to the dinner table. And finally it includes that indefinable of component of pride evident in the family-owned operation.
